What lot clearing covers
Lot clearing is residential-scale land clearing: a building lot, a back yard gone to brush, a parcel next to the house you’d like to actually use. It’s close-quarters work, often near a home, a driveway, a septic field, and the neighbors — so it takes a careful hand and a machine that fits the space.
We clear the underbrush, the greenbrier, the saplings, and the small trees, and leave you open ground. Mature trees you want kept stay standing. The material gets mulched on site, so there’s no burn pile smoking up the street and no debris stacked at the curb for weeks.
When you need lot clearing
This is the service for you if you’ve got:
- A newly bought wooded lot you’re planning to build on
- A back or side yard that’s disappeared under brush
- An adjacent parcel you want to open up and use
- Overgrowth crowding the house, crowding sightlines, or harboring ticks
- A lot that’s become a fire-fuel tangle of dry scrub
Working carefully on residential property
The thing about lot clearing is everything that has to stay. Your driveway, your lawn, your septic, your well, the property line, the neighbor’s fence. Before I run the machine, we walk it and you show me what matters and where the buried stuff is. I plan the approach around all of it.
Our compact tracked loader earns its keep here — compact enough to fit through a standard gate, tracked so it spreads weight and limits turf damage, and nimble enough to work around structures without tearing up the place.
What to expect
Most lots are a day or two. I’ll keep the work tidy as I go, not just at the end, and I’ll time it for ground conditions so I’m not rutting your yard after a wet spell. When it’s done you’ll have open, usable ground under a mulch layer, edges cleaned up, ready for whatever’s next — landscaping, fencing, a build, or just enjoying the space.
Pricing
What it costs depends on the lot: how dense the brush is, how many and how big the trees are, how much delicate work there is around structures, and access. I give free estimates and explain the number plainly. No flat pricing, because your lot isn’t the same as the next one.
A neighbor, not a stranger
I farm in the Pine Barrens and I’ll be driving past your property for years. That’s the standard I work to. When you hire Pine Barrens Land & Forestry to clear your lot, you’re hiring someone local who knows this ground and cares how the finished work looks.
